Biosynthesis of Auxins

Image
Auxins are a class of plant hormones that play a crucial role in various aspects of plant growth and development. They are synthesized through a biochemical process known as biosynthesis. Biosynthesis of auxins primarily occurs in the apical meristem, young leaves, and developing seeds of plants. The main pathway for auxin biosynthesis involves the amino acid tryptophan. Tryptophan is converted into indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), which is the most common and biologically active form of auxin in plants. The biosynthesis of auxins can be summarized in the following steps: 1. Tryptophan → indole-3-pyruvic acid: Tryptophan is first converted into indole-3-pyruvic acid through a reaction catalyzed by the enzyme tryptophan aminotransferase. 2. Indole-3-pyruvic acid → indole-3-acetaldehyde: Indole-3-pyruvic acid is then further converted into indole-3-acetaldehyde by the enzyme indole-3-pyruvate decarboxylase. 3. Indole-3-acetaldehyde → indole-3-acetic acid (IAA): Finally, indole-3-acetaldehyde

Auxin is a plant hormone that plays a crucial role in various aspects of plant growth and development. It is primarily responsible for promoting cell elongation, regulating apical dominance, controlling leaf and fruit senescence, and influencing root formation. Auxin is involved in tropisms, such as phototropism (response to light) and gravitropism (response to gravity), allowing plants to orient their growth in response to environmental stimuli. Additionally, auxin also functions in regulating seed germination, vascular development, and the formation of lateral roots and adventitious roots. Overall, auxin is a vital hormone that helps coordinate the growth and development of plants. Who discovered auxins and How? Auxins were discovered by Charles Darwin and his son Francis Darwin. They conducted experiments in the late 1800s and early 1900s that led to the discovery of auxins. They observed that when a plant is illuminated from one side, it tends to grow towards the light

Progress and Decline of Muslims

Image
Allama Syed Sulaiman Nadvi writes:  "Progress and Decline of Muslims,   Both have one reason and that is their immediate and temporary excitement. They can move a mountain out of its place like a flood, but cannot clear a path like a mountaineer by removing stones one by one. They can burn the threshing floor in a flash like lightning, but they can't destroy a single grain like an ant. They may shed their blood like water in the defense of a mosque, but they cannot sustain a sustained effort to rebuild a destroyed mosque. It was possible for him to fall to the left and right of Muhammad Ali and Abul Kalam. But it is not enough for them to release these captives of Islam from the prison through continuous constitutional struggle. "  He goes on to write: "The real reason for our failure is that we come like the wind and pass like lightning." We should be like the water of a river that slowly, slowly rises and widens its banks by cutting off the

I was reciting when I came to a verse of Surah al-Ma'araj and stopped.  The talk was about the creation of man, how man was originally created.  Whenever such a verse comes, I stop and think a little.  The verse was:  This is the nature of human beings  The truth is that humans are made to have very little motivation  I looked at the English translation, and the meaning of "Halua" was written in Anguish.  Now, if I understand the meaning of Anguish in Urdu, it seems that a person who has anxiety, anxiety, or impatience.  However, I settled on "less courage" and took it to mean impatience. The next verse was even more meaningful:   ,  This is the evil of evil  He gets very nervous when he gets hurt  I understood the word "jazua", the translation in English was also close, impatient, meaning impatient, that is, when pain comes, a person just wants it to be resolved now, just to end somehow.  And this touch of goodness  And when prosperity co

THE HISTORY OF ANIMALS BY ARISTOTLE

Book 1 1. OF the parts of animals some are simple: to wit, all such as divide into parts uniform with themselves, as flesh into flesh; others are composite, such as divide into parts not uniform with themselves, as, for instance, the hand does not divide into hands nor the face into faces. And of such as these, some are called not parts merely, but limbs or members. Such are those parts that, while entire in themselves, have within themselves other diverse parts: as for instance, the head, foot, hand, the arm as a whole, the chest; for these are all in themselves entire parts, and there are other diverse parts belonging to them. All those parts that do not subdivide into parts uniform with themselves are composed of parts that do so subdivide, for instance, hand is composed of flesh, sinews, and bones. Of animals, some resemble one another in all their parts, while others have parts wherein they differ. Sometimes the parts are identical in form or species, as, for instance, one man’s n
