Cell the Basic Unit of Life
Cell
Cell is the basic Unit of Life. Cell was first observed in the crok in 1665 by the scientists namly Rebort Hook. Cell is basic Structural, functional and Biological Unit of Life. All the basic functions of the life first inatated in the Protoplasm of the cell.
Cell is the site where all the functions as well as reactions of life where are inatated. Cell is the also provides potential of the living action, trnasfer of genetic information form on generation to the next generation. Actions of potential of Muscle, Endocrine , etc also take lpace in the cytoplasm of the cell.
Components of the cell:
The Basic structure of the cell are as under:
1. Cell Membrane or Plasma membrane.
2. Cytoplasm.
3. Nucleus.
The cell membrane is the Non living component of the cell. While cytoplasm and Nucleus are the living component of the cell. The cytoplasm and the nucleus of the cell are known as Protoplasm of the cell.
Cell May be very from size, shape and Number. The smaller cell is found in the Bacteria (PPLO) about 0.1micron while Ostrach egg is the largest cell about 1.7mm. the Nerve cell (Neuron) are the longest cell.
The shape of the cell is are of following types:
1 cubide: intestinal cells.
2 spindal: muscle cell
3 long and Branches: Neuron
5.Circular: RBC
6 Irregual: WBC
According to the cell number the living organisms where divided into to catagory the is unicellular and Multicellular. The unicellular organisms are those where all the basic functions where performaning by the single cell. Example ameoba is the unicellular organisms.
Where Multicellular organisms are those where more than one are persent. Different cell are assigned to perform the difference work to perform the activities of the life. Here is the division of the labour ie all cell have to different activities of life to existing as living organisms
